Surgery Schedule for Tuesday

Today Holly had a few final phone appointments to help coordinate the details around surgery tomorrow.
We'll begin the day with a visit to the Royal Columbian Hospital nuclear medicine department at 7AM for the radiotracer injection followed by a scan to locate the sentinel lymph nodes for the surgeon to remove during surgery. The oncologist will examine the lymph nodes for microscopic traces of cancer, this will be a key factor in determining if chemotherapy is needed later.
Surgery is scheduled for 12:15PM at Eagle Ridge Hospital. The procedure should take about two hours and then I'll bring her home later in the afternoon to begin recovery.
