Surgery Recovery Update

Holly had her first follow up visit with the surgeon yesterday to get the surgical drains removed and generally check out how she’s doing.
Healing is going well. She's doing great with pain management and since having her drains removed yesterday she is more comfortable and finding it easier to work on getting her mobility back.
Holly will have a follow up call with the surgeon later this week or next week once the sentinel node biopsy results are available. The results will determine the next steps for her treatment path. If there are traces of cancer in the nodes then chemotherapy is likely the next step. If no traces are found more testing will be done to see if chemotherapy can be avoided.

Thank you so much for the update on Holly Dan. Our thoughts are with all of you as you face this challenge in your young life. Keep the faith and the positiveness going and everything will be okay. Big hugs to all of you.
Dearest Holly and Dan. So pleased that generally, the journey has been quite positive thus far so keep the faith as we cheer you on each day. A big thank you to Lynn for organizing the meal train......we are keeping an eye on that and if there is a day that might be missed, we will fill that in.
