Holly now only has two sessions of chemo left! She had her sixth session a week ago. The oncologist prescribed an additional steroid this time around to try to help with the new aches and pains that came with the second chemo drug, it helped them at bay for the most part and made this recovery week a little less painful that the last. It took a few extra days for her to get back to normal this time but with only two more treatments left it feels like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

She met with her surgeon again today to discuss her upcoming surgery. During this surgery they will remove the rest of the axillary lymph nodes from her left armpit. She's scheduled for August 25th, it will be another day surgery and she'll have about four weeks to recover prior to radiation therapy beginning.

We hope everyone is having an excellent summer so far with pandemic restrictions easing, hopefully we'll have a chance to catch up with everyone in person soon!

Carol and I hope your summer is filled with hopefulness, and rest, and precious time with your beautiful family.

This is all good news! I'm sure celebrating a birthday while feeling awful wasn't fun, Holly, but it sounds like things are progressing well with your treatment. I hope you 4 can enjoy the summer as much as possible too, love to you all!
