Chemotherapy Update

Holly got a call on Friday from the chemo team letting her know she’s scheduled for her first treatment on Monday.
It’s a week or two earlier than expected, but she’s healing well. She’s nervous, but she’s looking forward to getting the treatment underway as soon as possible.
She also found out that she was able to seek coverage for a new immune booster medicine that requires only a single injection after each chemo treatment rather than seven. The medication is quite expensive, but we were able to get the cost fully covered under my company health plan which was a wonderful surprise.
Please keep her in your thoughts as her treatment begins tomorrow.
Dearest Holly and Dan,
We certainly know what this feels like and while it is scary, I know that you will feel better in the fact that at least something is moving and you can feel like you are accomplishing something. You will be constantly in our thoughts and certainly let us know if there is anything we can assist with on the side. Much love and you will overcome!! We are so glad your healing from the surgery has gone so well so keep the faith.

We will be thinking of you all week as you begin this new journey of "kicking your cancer to the curb"! You are a strong and beautiful woman and we know you can do this... although it may be scary and rough at moments, you have a whole team behind you... Love you so, so much.
